Tietokoura seeks growth in the Nordic market – Tieto and Tietokoura have entered into an Alliance Agreement

Tieto and Tietokoura strengthen their partnership to offer an advanced toolset for energy retail companies

Tieto Energy Utilities and Tietokoura have entered into an Alliance Agreement. The partnership strengthens both parties’ capabilities as energy industry solutions providers by creating a full end-to-end solution covering all major processes of a retail energy company.

Tietokoura’s products and knowledge in portfolio management and B2B processes have now been combined with Tieto’s Energy Industry product portfolio offering for energy retail companies. The combination of both companies’ product portfolios will enhance and strengthen the retail energy companies’ competitiveness and efficiency through an effective toolset to plan, design and run their businesses.

Development in Finland and Sweden in smart meter rollout coverage and the related remote reading process, hourly based pricing and products have made a demand for retailers to find a solution for pricing, portfolio management, risk management, new services to B2B customers and ways to handle all this automatically.

Tieto and Tietokoura are strong players and market leaders in their own business areas. Tietokoura has 15 retailer customers in Finland; combined, these retailers sell approximately 17 terawatt hours of electricity per year. This is over 40{85208e7369a0ad97d595242c6c03176dc5f8bed49023ef60146fd58a1c7c91b9} of the total electricity sales by retailers in Finland.
